IDA KUDO releases her EP ‘Proud’

On the EP ‘Proud,’ IDA KUDO invites the listener into her captivating pop universe, filled with catchy songs, quirky vibes and powerful statements.

Question the external expectations from society, find your inne voice, and stay true to yourself. These are some of the messages that IDA KUDO delivers with experimental grooves and strong choruses on ‘Proud’.

“We live in a time where we are becoming more and more disconnected from ourselves and nature, and where we can no longer feel who we really are and what we stand for. I want people to wake up. The songs are a call to take on the inner battles and to protect our integrity instead of seeking convenience and the easy choices”, says IDA KUDO.

The EP includes singles ‘The Power That Is Woman’ and ‘Let’s Rewild the World’ both of which have been played on BBC Radio 6music, as well as on Danish P6 BEAT.

IDA KUDO, who grew up in Denmark with a Danish father and a Japanese mother, draws inspiration from her ethnic roots and, together with Andrew Hunt, has created a unique Scandinavian-Asian mix with a British touch in the production. It has become an eclectic blend, where there is room for hip-hop attitude, 50s orchestration, and backing vocals that move from graceful harmonies to chanting tribal choirs. All wrapped up in solid pop with a strong vocal at the forefront.

She has previously made a mark with support shows for Sting, showcases at Reeperbahn Festival, JAJAJA in both Berlin and London, XpoNorth in Scotland, Welcome to the Village in the Netherlands, as well as at Distortion and Pride in Denmark. This year, IDA KUDO’s unique charisma and engaging live performance can be experienced at SPOT Festival, where she has teamed up with guitarist Mads Nørgaard, among others.
