The Blue Van - Missed Calls

The Blue Van releases single about missing out

After nearly three decades together, The Blue Van reach new heights with the single “Missed Calls.” It’s a song that, in all its simplicity, feels like a modern classic – an evergreen written by a band that has experienced life’s contrasts and now distills their musical craft and experiences into a track that feels as natural as if it had always existed.

“Missed Calls” is about saying goodbye – to relationships, friendships, love – but also to parts of oneself. It’s about growing and evolving, and accepting that we have to let go of something in order to grasp something new. At the same time, the song carries a bittersweet realization. Frontman Steffen Westmark elaborates:

Missed Calls is also about the feeling of having missed out on
something. Life and opportunities call, but you don’t pick up –
and only realize too late that you should have answered
.”

Their 8th studio album will be released on January 30 next year, but before the official release, you’ll have the chance to see them live — and get your hands on the vinyl — at these shows:

05/12: Aalborg, Skraaen
06/12: København, Pumpehuset
