Løsgænger releases poetic love declaration
Løsgænger, aka Nicolai Noa, only has two released singles on his back; “Ka’ Du Se Mig” and “Sort Sky” —both of which grappled with some of the darker corners of the mind. On his third single release, Løsgænger now moves in a significantly brighter direction with the love ballad “Du Lys”.
Like flickering slides, “Du Lys” pieces together a mosaic of experiences and moods that poetically encapsulate the feeling of new love. With a simple instrumentation consisting of a 7-string Spanish guitar by Jeppe Holst, an atmospheric choir, and a minimalistic synth, both the lyrics and sound manage to capture and hold onto the simplicity and beauty in life’s often fleeting, chaotic whirlwind. Listen here!
“The song is about when I met my girlfriend, who is now also the mother of our son. It was a new, unexpected world that opened up for me and shook me at just the right time in my life, when I had just started writing songs for my solo project and was beginning something new.”
With lines like “”Elsker dig i et S-tog // med tømmermænd i mit
hovede // falder omkuld i sengen // falder ellers aldrig for nogen”, Løsgænger’s new song adds new layers to the path of iconic Danish songs about longing and love, including Povl Dissing’s “Brev fra dig.”
Like the two previous singles, “Du Lys” will be featured on Løsgænger’s upcoming debut album, which is expected to be released Winther 2025, and we look forward to gradually unveiling more songs.
