K A L E II D O out with mesmerizing EP
Since the band’s inception in 2019, their vision has been to invite new guest musicians to every concert and recording. This approach has resulted in three full-length albums, a double release with the duo Yellow Spoon, 15 singles, and a live release from Brorson’s Church during the Copenhagen Jazz Festival in 2021.
At the end of 2023, the award-winning duo announced a return to their core sound, where the saxophone and guitar intertwine—reminiscent of the early days when K A L E II D O was first taking shape. This new phase began with a performance at the Danish Music Awards Jazz at Store Vega in December 2023. Since then, K A L E II D O has exclusively performed as a duo at venues and festivals across the country.
In May 2024, the duo collaborated with filmmaker Daniel Buchwald and sound engineer August Wanngren to record a series of live sessions in the outdoor pavilion of Karens Minde Kulturhus in Sydhavnen, Copenhagen. The beautiful wooden structure provided the perfect setting, connecting the duo to nature — with the distant rumble of thunder, the gentle patterns of rain, and occasional sunbeams breaking through.
The result is three tracks — SWEET THUNDER, DIVINE SUNSHINE, and LAND OF RAIN — now released on the EP titled PART OF NATURE, with a total runtime of nearly 18 minutes.
In a world that often rushes forward, K A L E II D O’s vision is to embrace and capture the timeless essence of the moment — right here and now. Stronger than ever, K A L E II D O is ready to share their purest sound with the world on this new mesmerizing EP “PART OF NATURE”.
