Erik Apollo returns with new summer single

Back in February, Erik Apollo released the first single ‘Perleblå’ from his upcoming debut album – a track that received airplay on both P6 BEAT and P4 Play. ‘Perleblå’ marked a return to the indie rock sound that defined his former band, TÅRN, and was mixed by Søren Buhl Lassen (Brimheim, Guldimund), who also produced TÅRN’s three full-length albums.

That collaboration continues on Erik’s new single ‘Udsigt til dig’ – a light and carefree summer song that recalls his 2016 track ‘Solskin over tage’. While Erik’s lyrics often explore surreal or dilemma-filled scenarios, this time he takes a simpler and more direct approach. Pack your beach bag, head towards new horizons, and enjoy life with a view of the one you love.

Perhaps it’s Erik’s recent journey into fatherhood that sparked this wave of positivity and the need to celebrate summer early with a song. Either way, ‘Udsigt til dig’ doesn’t wait for summer – it jumps right into the joy of it and is out on April 18.

The track was recorded with the same team behind ‘Perleblå’, with the addition of Anna Stæhr as co-writer and backing vocalist. Anna has also been a core part of Erik Apollo’s live setup throughout 2024, performing at SPOT Festival (as P.t.) and supporting Barselona on tour.
