ELBA out with stripped-down acoustic version of “The Weight”

Renowned Danish pop artist ELBA is set to release an intimate acoustic EP, featuring five songs in stripped-down versions.

“The Weight” is originally from her 2023 debut album “Teardrops & Blind Spots”, and is written by ELBA, Asger Nordtorp Pedersen (Guldimund) and Søren Buhl Lassen (Blaue Blume). The song dives into the feeling of being stressed out, and deals with all the responsibilities you have to yourself.

Known for her electronic pop sound, her coming EP offers fans a fresh new perspective on ELBA’s songwriting, revealing the craftsmanship behind the melodies and lyrics. The acoustic versions shed the electronic layers, allowing the raw emotion of each track to take center stage, suiting the ballad of “The Weight” perfectly.

The full EP will be released in January 2024 and 15 shows are to be announced soon, so stay tuned.
